Popeye Musical Pipe Kazoo Retail Display (Northwestern Products, 1934). The Popeye Musical Pipe Kazoo was licensed by King Features Syndicate and released by Northwestern Products in 1934. This vintage, carded store display featuring 12 pipe-shaped kazoo instruments is a true pop culture relic. The dynamic card art showcases comic strip hero Popeye and his friends, promoting the kazoos for just 10 cents. Released shortly after Popeye's theatrical shorts catapulted the character to new fame, toy companies eagerly partnered with King Features to capitalize on his popularity.

More Information: The display shows handling wear, including surface tears, with creasing, discoloration, and warping. All 12 original kazoos exhibit minor rusting and edgewear and scuffing on the paper components. The card measures approximately 17 by 11.5 inches.
