Eldon Unbreakable Plastic U.S. Navy Cargo Planes Lot of 7 with Open Shipper Case (Eldon, 1960s). This seven-piece grouping consists of Eldon U.S. Navy Cargo Planes from the company's "Flexible Unbreakable Polyethylene" line, produced during the early to mid-1960s. Each example is molded in blue plastic with "NAVY" markings and retains its original wraparound retail header card affixed at the tail. The planes are housed in their shipping case, which originally held 12 units. Condition across the lot reflects expected age and storage wear. The planes show significant wear from age and storage with many of the wings bent and warped. The header cards exhibit typical wear including bending and minor creasing. The original shipping case shows moderate wear for it's age, including crushing, creasing, and tearing. A seldom-seen surviving partial case with its original contents, this is the kind of mid-century store stock that rarely escapes the passage of time intact, offering a tangible glimpse into how these toys were originally distributed and sold.
