Nike SB Dunk Low Freddy Krueger Sample - Intended to be released under the "Horror Pack" alongside with the Nike Dunk High and Air Trainer 1 this particular design was scrapped due to legal complications with New Line Cinema. Nike received a cease-and desist letter due to the claim of copyright infringement, since the shoes were already down the line of production and distribution, retailers were ordered to return the shoes to Nike in order to be destroyed and avoid litigation. The only pairs that managed to release came from a store in Mexico which were "mistakenly" sold early by the shop. Reportedly only 26 pairs with boxes were sold from the skate store in Mexico.

The underlays feature the same red and green stripes as Freddy Krueger's trademark sweater, while the skin tone covered overlays display splashes of blood splattered throughout the shoe. The reflective silver Swoosh is supposed to signify Krueger's razor-claw gloves. The insoles of the shoes are meant to look like Freddy's burned skin.

This is a sample version of the intended original release, much less pairs were produced and the sample versions do not have oil stain uppers.
