The Dobro Double Cyclops is one of the more unusual and visually striking designs from the early resonator era, instantly recognizable by its twin screenhole configuration. Produced during Dobro's formative years in California, these instruments reflect the experimentation and innovation that defined resonator development in the early 1930s. The second version, with its bound fingerboard and refined hardware, represents an evolution in both construction and aesthetics. Known for their distinctive projection and metallic resonance, Dobros became foundational instruments in blues, bluegrass, and early country music.
