    Roky Erickson's circa 1968 Gibson ES-335TD Sunburst Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar, Serial # 972905.
A Gibson ES-335 guitar once owned, played, and smashed into a wall by the legendary frontman of the 13th Floor Elevators. Born Roger Kynard Erickson in Dallas, Texas. Roky Erickson fronted the psychedelic garage rock band 13th Floor Elevators, who had a major hit with You're Gonna Miss Me in 1966.

Repaired into working condition at Strait Music in Austin, Texas in the early 1970s. Has a 1 & 9/16th nut width, which is typical for 1968. Tuners are changed to Schallers but no extra holes in the headstock. Electronics are original and working but could use a good cleaning. The original hard case has been painted black and is structurally sound. There are headstock cracks that should be addressed and repaired to stabilize. There is an interesting heel repair, allegedly done by Roky. 8.3lbs. Original hard case included. Condition: Fair.

Comes with a signed LOAs. COA from Heritage Auctions.
