Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Signed Guitar with Dylan, Springsteen, Elton John and Others. This 1994 Gibson Chet Atkins SST acoustic-electric guitar was present at the all star Grand Opening Concert for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland, Ohio. This seven-hour event took place on September 2, 1995, at Cleveland's Municipal Stadium, in front of 60,000 people and HBO's film crews. An assistant to a well known artist manager had the instrument autographed backstage. The guitar is signed in white paint pen by: Chuck Berry (with a smiley face), Toni Braxton, Boyz II Men (Mike McCary, Wanya Morris, Shawn Stockman, and Nate Morris), James Brown (inscribed "I Feel Good"), Mariah Carey, Bob Dylan (signed "Dylan"), Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, Gloria Estefan, Elton John, Alanis Morissette, Michelle Phillips, Bruce Springsteen, Will Smith, Rod Stewart, John Popper (Blues Traveler), Pat Benatar and John Cougar Mellencamp. The guitar itself is in excellent cosmetic and playing condition and, with the exception of the autographs added, has not been modified. This lot includes a hardshell case and a letter of authenticity from Beyond Autographs.
