Description

Maria Elena Holly's Silver Anniversary Fender Stratocaster. In 1979, Fender celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Stratocaster with the release of their first "anniversary" instrument and the first Fender instrument to be issued in a pre-determined and numbered, limited quantity, a limited edition "Silver Ann" Strat. The guitar featured a maple neck with a chrome plate bearing the dates "1954-1979," Porsche Silver finish, and the first use of "locking tuners" in a Fender guitar. This is one of those instruments, #9 in a limited edition, presented by Fender to Maria Elena Holly, widow of pioneering Rock and Roll legend Buddy Holly. The guitar is in Excellent condition, accompanied by its original hardshell case and a certificate of authenticity. COA from Maria Elena Holly.
