Graham Nash 's 1954 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst Solid Body Electric Guitar, Serial #1091.

Owned and played by Graham Nash, this is a nice and rare, first year, hard-tail Stratocaster. This early example has a neck date of WTG 9-54 and a wiring tape date that reads Virginia 10-4-54. No body date detected. The pot code 304430 dates to the 30th week of 1954. The pickup selector switch is replaced with 5-way electronics but otherwise everything is correct. The low E string tuner is replaced with a later Double Line Kluson. The knobs are mis-matched and not likely original to this guitar or era. The pickguard is a possible later replacement as well. This is a very light weight and resonating guitar with moderate checking and various scuffs and dings as seen in the photos, most likely from live performances. Comes with a non-original hardcase. This guitar comes with Grahams black guitar strap that has GNP stamped into it. Good condition. COAs from Graham Nash and Heritage Auctions.
