Graham Nash Owned and Played Guild X350 Hollow Body Electric Guitar Serial #18951 (1961).
Previously owned and played by Charlie Gracie, a major rock ‘n' roll influence on a young Graham Nash, this is from Graham's personal collection. Graham has played it as well. A hollow-body electric Guild X350 guitar. Serial number: 18951. Has 21 frets. Has been completely oversprayed and the tail piece has been covered and decorated. In Very Good Plus condition with some wear and fading to the overall guitar.

Provenance: A collection of copies, pictures, and original programs featuring Gracie.

"Charlie Gracie was one of the founders of American rock 'n' roll. I actually saw him -- I think -- in 1958 in Manchester at the Palace Theater. On the steps of the Midland Hotel . . . I got his autograph and my sister Elaine -- actually to this day -- has a cigarette butte he was smoking and he threw down and stood on. I've been a fan of Charlie's for a long time. He did great songs like 'Butterfly.'"

"A couple of years ago, I was playing a show at the Philadelphia Folk Festival and somebody had this guitar. They asked my friend John whether I liked to see it. He knew my interests and he said, 'Absolutely.' It was actually for sale, and I bought it. Man, what a thrill."
