Circa 1950 Fender Broadcaster Solid Body Electric Guitar Formerly Owned By Danny Gatton, Serial #0058.
circa 1950 Fender Broadcaster formerly owned by Danny Gatton. Highly modified, refinished and over-sprayed. The pickup is not original but the bridge is original and with a low serial number. The body has been sanded thin in some locations. There is thin wood at the heel for the neck screws. The bridge and saddles are original. One knob appears to be correct. Both pots and caps are replaced and the switch is era correct and possibly original. The body and the neck have been sanded thinner and refinished years ago. A Humbucker rout has been patched and the pickguard is patched as-well. The refretted neck has been planed and an area at the nut is patched and the truss rod is exposed under the nut. Reproduction tuners and neck has a repaired crack through the tuner holes. Original Thermometer case is in good condition. The headstock has dowels on the side to repair the crack through the tuners. Electronics need to be serviced. Appraisal by George Gruhn for $60,000. 5.80lbs. Original hard case included. Condition: Fair.
