    Description

1965 Gibson Firebird Cherry Red Electric Guitar, #503927. If you are old enough to have been around the Southern California music scene back in the mid to late 60s, you might have been lucky enough to catch The Traveling Band. The group was comprised of six brothers and sisters. One of the brothers played this Gibson Firebird while one of his sisters played a matching Thunderbird bass (also in this auction). Consider winning both!

The three P-90s sing! Factory frets are original and are in very good condition. Original Kluson Deluxe tuners. Normal pickguard shrinkage cracks. Nitro finish is in good condition and exhibits normal checking. Please expect average playing wear and scratches as this Firebird is about 45 years old and was played in a band. Overall, a very nice instrument. Original hardshell case included. Very Good condition.
