1964 Fender Stratocaster Candy Apple Red Solid Body Electric Guitar, Serial #33237.
Custom color, clay dot, pre-CBS Fender Stratocaster in Candy Apple Red. Correct white and silver undercoat. The neck date is 2 APR 64 B. The pots date to the 28th week of 1964 and the pickups are grey bottoms with 12-13 (17) 64 written on them as dates, which is normally seen post '64. There is some deeper routing under the bridge pickup and touched up with what appears to be red marker. This is a great looking guitar with minimal play wear to the original frets. The pickup wires on the switch and the ground wires on the back of the pot appear to have been soldered more recently. 7.10lbs. Original hard case included. Condition: Very Good.
