1960 Fender Stratocaster Blonde Solid Body Electric Guitar, Serial #42685.
circa 1960, beautiful grained Ash body, refinished in blonde. Fender body with locator holes and paint nail holes, possibly from 1960. Single ply white guard is non-original (earlier 50's) and has two crack repairs. The pots all date to 1988 and a newer 5-way switch has been added. The pickups are black bottom and are likely 1959/1960 era correct. The tremolo arm is older and possibly original. The neck is refretted and refinished but the logo appears to be correct and may have been over-sprayed. No neck date as per usual in 1959. Knobs are non-original but the pickup covers could be correct. Tuners are post 1964, Double-line Kluson's. Hard case is heavily frayed/shaggy. 7.12lbs. Original yellow lined, tweed hard case included. Condition: Good.
