1957 Gibson Les Paul Standard Gold Top Solid Body Electric Guitar, Serial #7 6188. Considerable weather checking overall, normal for this era. Original bridge has saddles changed to graphite. Both original PAF pickups have had covers removed and are missing. No breaks, repairs or modifications are evident. Guitar has been re-fretted with large frets and has considerable belt buckle wear on back. Jack plate has been replaced as well as strap buttons but originals are in case. All mahogany body with no maple top. Body is one piece, not mahogany cap. Inlays appear to have shrunken and possibly re-glued; some may have been replaced. Possible old overspray on entire guitar, certainly not recent. Previously had Grover tuners. Shaftholes have been professionally filled & re-drilled for original tuners reinstallation. One neck pickup ring screw has been replaced. Two screws in jack plate have been replaced. Has Gruhn appraisal from February 2010 for $75,000. Comes with pictures of "The Reverend" Billy F. Gibbons playing this guitar in shows. Original hard case included. Condition: Fair.
