1957 Fender Stratocaster Left-Handed Black Solid Body Electric Guitar, Serial #-20786.
Rare lefty, circa 1957 Fender Stratocaster with some gold hardware. Neck plate and neck plate screws, bridge and saddles (Pat Pending) are original gold. Tuners are non-gold Kluson-style replacements. The string tree is not gold but appears to be era correct. Soft vee neck, almost like an early '58. No gold on the truss rod nut. The body and neck have been heavily refinished and more than once, it appears. No neck date is discernable and faint sanding marks are present. The tuner ferrules appear to be original gold. The body appears to have been an original blond finish, possibly a rare original lefty Mary Kaye Stratocaster. The minus serial number dates to 1957. The pickup and switch are likely original. All three pots and capacitor are replaced. The shield plate is original but the pickguard is not. Original frets show considerable wear as does the fingerboard but the neck has been sprayed with poly urethane. No gold screws are present besides the neck screws but it has the original gold strap buttons. One of the bridge saddle screws is replaced. 7.14lbs. Fender reissue left-handed hard case included. Condition: Fair.
