1952 Fender Telecaster Butterscotch Blonde Solid Body Electric Guitar, Serial #4887.
Single owner, Fender Telecaster from 1952. The body and the fingerboard were professionally refinished by Gravity Strings in St. Louis in the mid-1980's. Frets are refretted. The back of the neck and the headstock are original with the original decal. Neck date is TG 11-6-52 and the body date is Tadeo 11-10-52. String tree and switch tip are replaced. Pickups are original but the wiring is cut and spliced from the refinish. The switch is original CRL but is wired oddly and the neck position is not working. Replaced cap and wiring has been modified. Pots could be correct but the date codes are soldered over. Frets show moderate wear, primarily in the first position. The white pickguard is not original to this instrument but appears to be circa 1950's. The ashtray is newer. 7.1lbs. Hard case included. Condition: Very Good.
