1951 Fender Telecaster Butterscotch Blonde Solid Body Electric Guitar, Serial # 0900. Breathtaking piece of guitar history hand built by George Fullerton with supporting documentation including a letter from Mr. Fullerton recounting the guitars history. It was also featured in the book Guitars From George and Leo, a copy of which accompanies this lot. Several experts on black guard Telecasters all concur that this is in fact an exceptionally fine example with one of a kind status. The guitar does not appear to have been played much during its lifetime. It has been tested and all electronics are functioning properly. The original case is missing and no dates are visible but all components are verified correct for late 1951. Unusual but correct old style non-wire routed body. Back of heel signed "GEO" and a more recent George Fullerton signature on the back of the body, most likely from 1998. Original ash tray is included. Minor dings and scratches but it's still in awe inspiring condition. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a piece of Fender history made by a legend second only to Leo. In hand inspection is highly recommended. Non-original hard case included. Condition: Very Good.
