1950's Kay Kelvinator Sunburst Archtop Electric Guitar #A1237 Talk about a rockabilly blast from the past! Belonged to a good friend of ours who got it from his dad. We're not sure if this is a Barney Kessel model or not. Pickguard is original and there is no sign of 'Barney Kessel' having been removed. Late 50's KAY Kelvinator 2 pickup archtop with Bigsby, chunky baseball bat maple 19 fret neck with rosewood board. Imperial Grovers look like a top of the line appointment. Lower bout is 17" across and the upper bout is approximately 12-1/2" across. Back and sides of body are maple, top appears to be spruce. Some checking, few scattered scratches and dings from playing. Some finish missing on back of neck near heel. Body and neck joint look great. Missing plastic strap end pin (a Martin one should work fine) and metal knob for guitar strap. No case. Condition: Very Good
