Descriptioncirca 1953 Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Solid Body Electric Guitar, NVSN.
The debut of the Black Beauty Les Paul Custom. 1st year for this majestic model. No serial number, as per usual for this model in first year production. Tuners are replaced with late 60's/70's era Gibson branded Kluson double-lines in nickel/chrome. One cap has been replaced and pots date to 23rd week of 1953 and are correct. The finish is original and shows considerable checking overall with some scrapes and scuffs but nothing severe. There is a chip in the binding of the headstock at the D tuner. Refretted with frets that are a similar width to the original frets and the nut is replaced with bone. The rear strap button is replaced and the neck pickup screws are replaced. The switch tip is an aged reproduction. 9.4lbs. Original hard case included. Condition: Good.
