Stanley Clarke's Lieber Spellbinder 4-String Black Sibling Electric Bass Guitar #NA Here is a video of legendary bass player Stanley Clarke playing this Spellbinder Black Sibling Bass during rehearsals for the Return To Forever Reunion Tour. The bass was created by Thomas Lieber of Lieber Instruments Inc.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQ3DMXKCBcc
The Black Sibling Bass (E, A, D, G,) has a 32-inch scale with 24 frets. It features a sculpted solid Eastern Maple body incorporating the smaller 1980's Spellbinder body design.
The neck is comprised of a three piece quartersawn Maple/graphite reinforced laminate with a Gabon Ebony fingerboard and a two way adjustable truss rod. Neck dimension at the string nut is slightly larger than the Tenor Bass.
Custom machined chrome plated Solid Brass Bridge and Tailpiece, Graphite string nut. Chrome plated Schaller tuning gears. Neck surface is hand rubbed to a natural patina with oil - not a painted surface.
Electronics: Custom wound chrome plated single coil pickups designed by Kent Armstrong and Thomas Lieber.
The sonic thrashing stereo filters plus two additional treble filters were designed and manufactured by John East. Output feature: ¼ inch mono and a stereo 5 pin connector compatible with Alembic power supply and pre amps.
