Nikki Sixx Motley Crue 1981 BC Rich Mockingbird Bass. This 1981 BC Rich Mockingbird Bass, serial number 85447, was used by Nikki Sixx in Motley Crue's early days. There are some cosmetic scratches, as one would expect, to the front and back of the body, and the word 'SIXX' scratched into the back of the headstock below the 'E' and 'G' tuners. It is in excellent playing condition, and all of the active electronics work. The only modifications to this instrument are the strap buttons. Included with the bass is its original case, seen here in all its glory. Inside the case are more stickers, including a backstage pass for a 8/21/82 Joe Perry show at the Los Angeles area venue The Country Club. Nikki gave the bass to John Corabi in 1996 during the band's Generation Swine recording sessions. John was lead singer for Motley Crue from 1992 to 1996. This auction lot includes a handwritten letter of authenticity from John Corabi.
