Heart Mandolin Used on "Little Queen". This beautiful 1977 Martin mandolin is in virtually mint condition, with only 2 minor spots of checking to the finish. It was used on Heart's second album, "Little Queen," which featured that favorite classic, "Barracuda." Howard Leese purchased this instrument new to be used especially for the song "Say Hello." However the fact that it comes with a pickup, and that its original case sports two "Bad Animals" backstage passes, suggests that this instrument toured with Leese at least until 1987. Sometime in the 90's, this mandolin passed to session guitarist Bruce Hastell (Toto, Eagles, Badfinger, Allman Brothers). Comes with letter of authenticity from Leese to Hastell on "Bad Animals" (Heart) stationery. Provenance: ex-Howard Leese, Heart; ex-Bruce Hastell, session guitarist.
