1948 Gretsch Electromatic Brown Guitar Amplifier, Serial #V14775.
Not only is this amp rare, the condition is near time-capsule clean. Made for Gretsch for just one year by Valco in Chicago, it was one of the first of Gretsch's now famous "Electromatic" amps. This early Gretsch Electromatic amp is rare and even more in this original shape. It has a warm, rich, true vintage tone, with its dual 6V6 power circuitry and original 8" Rola speaker. It is all original, from the clean two-tone tan & brown tolex to the brown Bakelite knob and the leather handle. Only the power cord has been upgraded, to a safer 3-prong, along with some replaced tubes and caps. Condition: Excellent.
