DescriptionHeritage D'Angelico "New York II" Guitar (undated) Owned and Used by Rick Derringer, Condition: Excellent.
A "Heritage D'Angelico", made by Heritage Guitars in the U. S. A. before production of new D'Angelicos moved to Japan. The instrument was previously owned by Rick Derringer and was used exclusively by him on his 2002 release Free Ride. This was only one of five D'Angelico copies made by Jim Triggs for Heritage, and the only one finished in cherry red. It was originally appraised for Derringer for $25,000 (documentation included with lot) and features a pretty red finish, with only the slightest visible wear. The floating single pickup is attached to the pickguard, which has become slightly loose from the neck connection point. This guitar is light, easy to handle, and plays very well. The label inside this guitar is signed by Bill Paige, Jim D., and J. P. Mosto. Serial number is 1039. Includes a gorgeous snakeskin-finish case. Accompanied by a notarized LOA from Rick Derringer. From the Russ Cochran Guitar Archive.
