DescriptionGibson L-5 Natural Finish Archtop Acoustic Guitar (1939) Condition: Very Good.
Gibson introduced the L-5 Natural Finish in 1939, and it sold at the time for an extra premium of $15, due to the hand-picked Maple used for the carved tops. As such, it is far less common than other L-5s today. There is some light wear along the top, and a small crack has developed on the upper part of the neck, near the nut along the left side, but it feels solid, with easy neck action and a great tone. This beauty has a serial number of #95751, comes with factory-installed Grover Imperial tuners, and the original Gibson striped case, which has lost its handle over the years. From the Russ Cochran Guitar Archive.
