Circa 1960 Gibson J-200 Natural Acoustic Guitar, Serial # 24641. Introduced as the Super Jumbo in 1937, the Gibson J-200 was Gibson's premier flat top model and remains highly sought after today. This example is exceptionally clean with minor nicks and dings to the original finish. A normal amount of weather checking is present. Normal shrinkage cracking is present along the edge of the fingerboard. A top crack at the soundhole has been neatly and professionally repaired as has a cracked brace. In addition, a new saddle and nut have been installed. Perfect neck angle, saddle height and playability. Birdseye maple back and sides with high flame. An invoice from Gibson Restoration and Repair detailing the repair work is included with the guitar. Hard case included. Condition: Excellent. Price Guide Value $12,000Auction Info
