Description

Circa 1949 Bigsby/Gibson J-200 Sunburst Acoustic Guitar. Long thought lost, this modified J-200 was the main guitar for Western Swing legend Dewey Groom, owner of the infamous Longhorn Ballroom. The neck was built and installed by Mr. Paul Bigsby in the late 1940's/early 1950's and the guitar shows signs of a long hard life on the road in a Western Swing outfit. There are three unrepaired back cracks. A jack hole has been added at the lower bout on the treble side. The neck binding is missing and the the neck may have been re-fretted. Several scuffs, scratches and scrapes are present throughout the guitar. There is also considerable finish wear and neither pickguard is original. This is a rare opportunity to own a guitar with historical significance bigger than California and Texas! Newer Gibson hard case and photos of Mr. Groom with the guitar are included. From the estate of Dewey Groom. Condition: Fair. Price Guide Value N/A

The movie quite literally changed my life. I have included a pic of me in Sly's Rocky 3 Cashmere overcoat, would much appreciate if it is possible for you to forward this email to Sly to let him know the overcoat is in good hands, and will be well taken care of, (as will be the Rambo knife forging tools, the other lot I won!) Wish you very happy holidays and a great 2016!
