    Description

Circa 1925-1930 Larson Bro's Prairie State Auditorium Natural Acoustic Guitar, Serial # 1768261. Larson Bro's guitars marked "Prairie State" are the higher end guitars with fancier wood and lots of inlay. The guitar has a beautiful, crack free Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. The spruce top has three tight bridge to butt cracks. The inlay to the headlock and the fingerboard is extraordinary. The bridge is a modern replacement and is lifting. It will need to be reglued. There are three 1/8" fill holes in the top that presumably held down a pickguard. This guitar has the usual signs of use. The two steel rods visible through the sound hole are original. The bridge plate is somewhat large and made from maple, most likely a replacement. This beautiful guitar is very rare and well built. Original hard case included. Condition: Good.
