Bob Dylan Played Epiphone Acoustic Guitar owned by Barry Goldberg. An acoustic guitar consigned to us by musician Barry Goldberg, whose musical resume is way too long and impressive to present here. Here is what Mr. Goldberg told Heritage about this instrument's background:

"My friend Michael Bloomfield, the famous guitar player, first introduced me to Bob Dylan at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival. Bob needed a band to back him up, as he was going electric for the first time. Michael, who was already going to back him up, suggested I play keyboards for him. This turned out to be one of the most significant and controversial performances in the history of rock 'n' roll... the night folk-rock was born!

"As our friendship developed, Bob would come over to my house and jam with me and sometimes Michael. This guitar was the one they both used during those memorable evenings. Other artists that have played this guitar are Peter Wolf, Buddy Miles, Stephen Stills and Kenny Wayne Shepherd."

Made in Japan, this guitar has a sticker inside stating it is an Epiphone numbered 6830 E with a "No. 131365" below it. Has 21 frets. In Very Good Minus condition with chipping on top portion and back, as well as scuffs. Comes with black fitted hardshell case. COA from Heritage Auctions.
