Queen Of The West

1998 Greg Rich Limited Edition Dale Evans "Queen of the West" Acoustic Guitar, Serial # 9812-11D.
Originally brought to the market place by Dream Guitars and Apparel Inc and introduced in March of 1998 at the Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Museum. The Dale Evans "Queen of the West" and the Roy Rogers "King of the Cowboys" were built by Greg Rich and Mark Taylor. Greg Rich is renown for his work at Gibson. With 50+ years of experience, some of the top celebrities and artist in the world call on Rich's expertise when they want a custom, world-class instrument. The "Dale Evans" model is a one of a kind example. Beyond being a well-made maple body, spruce top guitar, using only the finest materials. Greg has tastefully stretched out with art and decorations. They were originally going to be 50 of each guitar and Roy and Dale would have hand sign each label. Unfortunately Roy passed and they only made 6 Roy Rogers guitars and only 1 Dale Evans guitar.
This guitar is hand-painted to make it a one-of-a-kind piece of art. It features a Jumbo-style body with hand selected maple for the back and sides. Hand picked spruce for the top and forward X bracing. 24k gold plated hardware and special sparkle binding. The finish is the old style nitrocellulose lacquer. The inside label is signed by Dale Evans. The original pink color has faded naturally to a pinkish cream color. The portrait of Dale Evans clearly brings back memories for those who watched both Dale and Roy every Saturday morning.
Photos of Dale and Greg Rich holding this guitar are included, along with a design of the headstock art, also signed.
The pickguard has come unglued in spots. Gator hard case included. Condition: Excellent.
