Description

1997 Huss & Dalton DS-Custom Sunburst Acoustic Guitar, Serial #070.
This 1997 Huss & Dalton DS-Custom is the company's take on the classic slope-shouldered dreadnought, featuring highly flamed mahogany back and sides, a spruce top, and maple binding-all under a rich dark sunburst finish. Serial #070. The finish is in excellent condition overall, though some surface clouding should be professionally cleaned. This guitar is in good playing condition and comes from The Guitar Shop Collection. Notably, our consignor Steve Spellman had input and influence on early Huss & Dalton designs, and many of the guitars in his collection, including this one, were acquired directly from the builders.
Original hard case included. Condition: Excellent.

The DS-Custom represents Huss & Dalton's commitment to blending traditional designs with high-end craftsmanship. As an early example from 1997, this guitar reflects the attention to detail and tonal balance that quickly earned the brand its reputation. The use of flamed mahogany and maple binding adds a visual elegance, while the slope-shouldered design delivers a warm, focused low end and strong projection. With a direct connection to the builders through Steve Spellman's collection, this instrument holds added appeal for collectors and players seeking a uniquely spec'd piece from Huss & Dalton's formative years.
