1948 Gibson Super 400 Natural Archtop Acoustic Guitar, Serial #A2353.Very nice example of the flagship archtop acoustic guitar. 18" body is the biggest production Gibson model. This guitar has bright clean original finish. 4" tight top crack from the end of the fingerboard. Two 4" center rear cracks. One at each end of the seam. Very minimal fret wear. There is a scuff on the back of the guitar. There are two 1/16" holes drilled at the bass side of the fingerboard extension support, most likely from a past pickup mount. There are no jack hole mounts in the body. Straight neck with an excellent neck angle. Minor corrosion to the gold plating and the pickguard mount. Signs of very light, factory level overspray. Comes with a DeArmond Rhythm Chief pickup (not installed). 6.4lbs. Heavy-duty flight case included. Condition: Very Good.
