    Description

    1929 Martin OM-28 Natural Acoustic Guitar, Serial # 40167.

The Martin OM-28 is one of the most desirable models for finger-style players. This is a very early example. The entire guitar shows to be oversprayed but not stripped and refinished. The top is heavily play worn, with moderate nicks and dings. Three repaired cracks at the butt end, strap peg area. The bridge has been replaced and the bridge plate is a large rosewood replacement as well. The tuners a new banjo style tuners. The original screw holes can been seen in the back of the headstock, providing evidence that these tuners were changed from the originals. The Brazilian Rosewood is exceptionally nice and straight grained. The back is crack free. This guitar is definitely worthy of further professional restoration but also play just fine as is. Hard case included. Condition: Good.
