Description1984 Paul Reed Smith (PRS) Pre-Production Cover-Girl Metal Multi-Color Solid Body Electric Guitar, Serial # N/A. This is a pre-production metal finish prototype guitar made by PRS in 1984. It was a NAMM show display guitar and is featured on the cover of the first PRS catalog/brochure. This stunning guitar is done in a three-color pearl finish with the original metal stripes. Featuring Star of David inlays, prototype pre-PRS tuning pegs and a patent applied for PRS prototype tremolo system. The 1st cover girl! A few minor bumps and dings but overall in very nice condition. The back of the headstock is signed by PRS in silver ink. This guitar comes with an extra back plate signed by Paul Smith "To George Borst/congratulations on first catalog cover guitar/Paul Reed Smith" and a Letter of Authenticity signed by Paul. The original catalog that this guitar is featured on accompanies this guitar as well. Comes in a blue heavy-duty Anvil flight hard case. 8.2 lbs. Condition: Excellent.
