    Description

Beatles St. Louis Busch Memorial Stadium Concert Ticket Stubs (Two) (1966), in Acrylic Display. This pair of stubs, each measuring 3.75" x 2", are black-and-red on pink and green, each emblazoned with a photo of the Beatles in the center, and were issued for an 8:00 PM concert at the Busch Memorial Stadium on August 21, 1966, their only appearance in the Gateway City. They opened the eleven-song concert with St. Louis native Chuck Berry's "Rock and Roll Music" in front of a rain-drenched crowd of 23,000 people. This was the concert that finally convinced the Beatles to quit touring according to an interview with Paul McCartney. The stubs are enclosed in a 4" x 6" acrylic display and are in Very Good (green) / Very Fine (pink) condition. From the Connie and Dennis Dailey Monumental Beatle Collection.
