Description

Beatles Balmoral (Belfast, Northern Ireland) King's Hall Unused Concert Ticket (UK, November 2, 1964). A 6.25" x 3.75" complete ticket on orange paper, advertising the Beatles as "The World's greatest attraction," for the 6:00 (first) performance, in Block G, #181, price 20/-. This, their last appearance in Belfast, took place on the same night as the Royal Variety Performance in London. The Beatles had been invited (again) but Brian Epstein declined; he and Arthur Howes booked this date with local promoters Trevor Kane and George Connell instead. The Beatles flew in to Aldergrove Airport that afternoon and were transported to this large venue where 8,000 screaming fans were in attendance for each of the night's two performances. This legendary Belfast venue was opened by the Duke of Gloucester on May 29, 1934, and closed on June 30, 2012 (U2 appeared there in 1987). Ticket in Excellent condition.
