The Who's John Entwistle 2002 Day Planner, Notebooks, Musician's Card, and other Personal Memorabilia. An absolute treasure trove of material for the Entwistle or Who fan, an incredible look into the life and personal thoughts of this great musician, arguably the greatest Rock bassist of all time. (1) The spiral-bound "2002 Elite Manager Week" book was used by both him and his long-time girlfriend, Lisa Pritchett-Johnson. Of note is his handwritten schedule in early February when he played what turned out to be his last dates with The Who. Incredibly poignant are Lisa's handwritten remarks regarding his untimely death on June 27th, the day before the first show of an American tour for The Who, in part: "John Alec Entwistle passed away in Las Vegas. Heart attack Hard Rock Hotel. Eve of 1st gig/ God Bless His soul. God I love and miss you forever and ever. May God bless you. I will always be here & hope you will always be with me daily forever... You will never leave my soul/ heart! Love of my life forever & always." (2) A hardcover spiral-bound "Black n' Red Indexed Notebook" contains his handwritten notes, jokes, poetry, "to do" lists, and detailed notes on one or more of his basses for customs/ shipping purposes. (3) A spiral bound lined notebook with a handwritten title on the front "'Who' History Book". Contained inside (both loose and still attached) are several versions of poems he wrote about himself and his bandmates in historical settings: "The Tale of Ahab Entwistle", "The Saga of Wild Bill Daltrey", and "Sir Pierre Townshend". Also included are some unfinished song lyrics. (4-12) A group of ID cards, envelopes, luggage straps, and ticket stubs- all from Virgin Atlantic Airways. (13-14) A Lloyds Bank Cashpoint Card and Entwistle's Musicians Union card for 1991. All items in good to very fine condition. From the John Entwistle Estate.
