The Beatles/Ringo Starr Western Union Mailgram For A Live Concert Reunion (1976). The Beatles were asked to reunite many times, but probably the most eye-opening amount came from mega promoter Bill Sargent in 1976. (Sargent was later known as a pioneer of pay-per-view events.) We are excited to share documentation of the offer here with this lot. It is an 8 ½" x 11" Mailgram from Western Union responding to the offer sent to Ringo Starr and dated January 29, 1976. This was "a confirmation copy of a previously phone-delivered telegram" sent to Starr from Sargent. The offer was for reuniting the Beatles for two concerts in the United States on July 5 and July 6, 1976 for $50 million to the group. The message stipulates the members could perform individually as long as the Fab Four plays together for at least 20 minutes. The stated estimated amount of gross revenue for the concerts was $200 million.

In Very Good condition with toning along the left side and along the bottom edge, fraying along the edges, creasing in the upper portions, a couple of fold marks, and overall wear. COA from Heritage Auctions.

The movie quite literally changed my life. I have included a pic of me in Sly's Rocky 3 Cashmere overcoat, would much appreciate if it is possible for you to forward this email to Sly to let him know the overcoat is in good hands, and will be well taken care of, (as will be the Rambo knife forging tools, the other lot I won!) Wish you very happy holidays and a great 2016!
