    The Beatles First Appearance Ed Sullivan Show Unused VIP Ticket dated February 9, 1964 (CBS, 1964). An unnumbered orange ticket noted as "CBS Studio 50 Presents the Ed Sullivan Show, February 9, 1964, Admit One", specially printed to give to important guests and employees, and unlike the mail-order tickets usually sent out by request. The story goes that there were over 500,000 ticket requests for this very important broadcast, featuring the debut American appearance of the Beatles, for a theater that seated a little over 700. This ticket measures approximately 4.125" x 1.75"; in Very Good Plus condition with some fading of the original bright orange color and a few very minor water stains, and slightly rounded corners.
