DescriptionThe Beatles by Richard Avedon Original Poster Group Set of Five (1967). Richard Avedon, the top fashion photographer of the swinging sixties, was commissioned by NEMS, the Beatles' management company, to produce a set of psychedelic images of each member, plus a group shot. These photos were then published in magazines in England, America, Germany, and Japan, as well as offered for sale as posters. This is a set of original Look Magazine posters, including all four color shots, each approximately 22.5" x 31", plus the black and white banner poster of the complete band, measuring 14" x 40".
All five posters were rolled, but have been flattened out for the photos. These images transcend typical music memorabilia and are sought today by both fans of the group, and collectors of fine art and fashion photography. COA from Heritage Auctions. From The Connie and Dennis Dailey Monumental Beatles Collection.
