Stevie Ray Vaughan Handwritten Lyrics for "Wall of Denial" (Circa 1989). Each page is written in black soft-tip ink on a 7.25" x 5" sheet of lined, yellow paper. The first example features 13 lines (one scratched out) in SRV's handwriting comprising the fourth and half of the fifth verse of the song "Wall of Denial" from the In Step album released June 6, 1989. "Simple things in life / Bring the greatest pleasure / A smile a kiss / A little babys [sic] laughter / It makes no difference if you run away in fear / Its [sic] the little things in life / That (we/you) hold so near / No matter what the trouble / We carrying round inside / We're never safe from truth / [inked out line] / In truth we can survive". Comparing this example with the final lyrics the only variations are basically pronoun choices. The second example consists of seven lines: "Fear of the unknown / is like a wall made / of stone / It was built to last / Until its usefulness passed / I think I'll tear it down / And make a road". Both examples feature bright, legible lyrics in excellent condition. COAs from Janna Lapidus Leblanc and Heritage Auctions.

A stunning New Zealand beauty and the last love - and fiancée of legendary Blues guitar icon Stevie Ray Vaughan, Janna Lapidus Leblanc lived with Vaughan for the final years of his life, from 1987 to 1990. During that time, the successful model took multitudes of photographs documenting their life together. Decades after Stevie's untimely passing, Leblanc released Four Years in Pictures: Offstage with Stevie Ray Vaughan, a photo-heavy book giving fans an intimate glimpse into not only the couple's relationship, but his recovery, and as the title states, an offstage look at his rise to stardom.
