    Description

Sex Pistols/Damned/Johnny Thunders/The Clash Anarchy in the UK Tour Poster (1976).
Poster made for the 19-date tour in December 1976. At the time, the band was the most controversial band in England, given their name, their performances, and their use of vulgarity on Bill Grundy's Today TV show. Poster has dates for the entire tour, but this was used to promote the final date of the tour: December 22nd at the 400 Ballroom in Torquay. With rising stars the Damned, "special guests" the Clash, and Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers (from the New York Dolls) also on the bill, the Torquay show would end up getting cancelled. Comes from the collection of the show's promoter Lionel Digby. Measures 19.6" x 29". In Very Good Plus condition as it was never used. COAs from Tracks Ltd and Heritage Auctions.
