Description

The Beatles, Yesterday and Today First State "Butcher Cover" Mono LP Vinyl Record With Rare Slanted Promo Cut (Capitol, T 2553). Rarely seen First State edition of the infamous Capitol Records compilation in 1966 with a near-45-degree angle cut in the bottom right corner of the sleeve. (The interior paper sleeve was not cut.) Per the "6" printed next to the RIAA logo on the back cover, this was pressed at either the Los Angeles or Winchester plant. The sleeve is in EX 7 condition (due to creasing in various spots and some smudging) and the disc is in VG-EX 6.5 condition (due to several light scratches on the first side). Comes with COA from Heritage Auctions.

Heritage Auctions provides as much information as possible but strongly encourages in-person inspection. Some condition issues may not be noted but may be visible in the photos, which are considered part of the condition report. Lots estimated at $1,000 or less are not de-framed for inspection, and we may be unable to provide additional details for lots valued under $500.
