The first mention of "The Blues" in music was the "Memphis Blues" composed by W.C. Handy in September 1912 and became world famous by the fall of 1914. Handy had started an industry and world famous genre that became the Mother of popular music, birthing Jazz, R&B, Rock, and Hip-Hop.

The five Superior Pressings and seven musicians that elevated the Blues are: 1) Muddy Waters Folk Singers (Chess LPS 1483) on 200 Gram Classic Records QUIEX SV-P Super Vinyl Profile; 2) Albert King with Stevie Ray Vaughan Stax APB 7501-45 by Acous Tech Mastering by Kevin Gray and Steve Hoffman; 3) Lightnin' Hopkins with Sonny Terry Last Night Blues (Prestige Bluesville BV 1029) Acous Tech Mastering by Kevin Gray and Steve Hoffman; 4) Willie Dixon with Memphis Slim Willie's Blues (Prestige Bluesville 1003) Acous Tech Mastering by Kevin Gray and Steve Hoffman; 5) Lightnin' Hopkins MOJO HAND (Fire Records FLP 104) Japan P-Vine LP. All five records are in Like New (NM 8-MT-10) condition.
