Ritchie Valens Master Demo Tape, First Known Recordings, 1958. This incredible item is a certified piece of Rock & Roll history. It's a 3M R120 DAT tape containing the first known recordings Ritchie Valens, an immensely talented singer and guitar slinger who helped sculpt the very essence of Rock & Roll before passing away tragically at the very young age of 17 in the same plane crash that robbed the world of other greats Buddy Holly and the Big Bopper. As these 43 outtakes, recorded in the basement studio located in the Dillon Street home of Del-Fi records founder Bob Keane, are the first recordings known of the pioneering Pop music superstar, the importance of this piece cannot be overstated. Ritchie Valens left this world far too soon, but his mark on music still shines as bright as ever. The tape also contains 12 recordings of Chan Romero from July, 1959. Incredibly rare. Includes COA from Bob Keane. From the Halidon Corp. Collection.
