Paul McCartney Deluxe Edition Box Set (Ram) Numbered # 02583 Still Sealed (MPL Communications, 2012). This deluxe reissue by Paul McCartney is truly amazing. It is a in depth look at Paul's second album RAM. This deluxe set gives so much material I am surprised it does not include the kitchen sink as well.This deluxe edition [4 CD / 1 DVD] contains the following: 1) Remastered Album; 2) 8 bonus audio tracks; 3) Remastered Mono Album; 4) Remastered Thrillington album, the instrumental cover version of Ram; 5) DVD featuring unreleased content and a documentary narrated by Paul; 6) Downloadable 24 bit high resolution audio version with bonus tracks; 7) 112 page book containing unpublished photo's by Linda McCartney, artwork, expanded track by track information plus a 32 page scrapbook insert; 8) 8 full size facsimiles of Paul's original handwritten lyric sheets; 9) Mini photographic book of outtakes from the original album cover photo shoot; 10) Five 8 x10 photos in vintage-style photographic wallet. All housed in a beautiful, numbered fabric wrapped box.
This box set gives us a real in depth look at the the album. Lots of really cool sessions photos. The bonus tracks on the disc are great and it gives the fan something new to sink their teeth into. I personally was very pleased they decided to include the Thrillington instrumental version of the Ram Album. This is an instrumental project that Paul did under another name in 1977. This set is for the completest who really wants to dig into the album and understand how it came about. This item is a MUST for all McCartney collectors. From the Estate of John Ferriter.
