Elvis Presley "Flaming Star" Unique Blue Vinyl 45 Single. In 1960, as the filming of the movie Flaming Star was nearing completion, the producers realized they did not have a title song. They discussed the situation with Colonel Tom Parker, and, typically, the Colonel negotiated a fee (call it a 'late fee') of $10,000 for Elvis to rush-record the title song! Elvis did, and the studio gave this blue vinyl version to Parker, the only copy known, and likely the only copy in existence! In addition to the title cut A-side, the B-side selection "A Cane and a High Starched Collar" was used in the movie, and these are the movie versions of both tunes. There's a small chip on the edge of Side 2 which goes to the edge of the recording, but otherwise the disc is quite nice. Condition: EX 7.
