    Description

Elvis Presley Acetate of First Appearance on Louisiana Hayride (Masterfonics Nashville, 1954). Before RCA, before "Heartbreak Hotel," and before the historic Ed Sullivan shows that thrust Elvis into international prominence, there was the Louisiana Hayride. This rare 10" 45 rpm two-sided acetate captures Elvis' very first appearance from 1953, when the young rocker performed both sides of his new single, "That's All Right" and "Blue Moon of Kentucky" -- the MC refers to the "new Folk music"! The King of New Folk Music? And the rest is history! The recordings surprisingly clear, with some crowd noise, and the disc is in gorgeous NM 8, the A- and B-sides identical. COA from the Elvis Presley Museum.
