Duffy Scruffy Duffy Stereo LP (UK - Chapter One CHS-R 814, 1973)....
Description
Duffy Scruffy Duffy Stereo LP (UK - Chapter One CHS-R 814, 1973). A distinctive concoction of Prog, Psych, and Hard Rock, Duffy's second album, Scruffy Duffy, pulls from influences as diverse as Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, and Uriah Heep. That this album isn't an all-time classic of 1970s Hard Rock is a shame. Here is a rare copy of the original 1973 UK issue on Chapter One records. Includes vintage British inner sleeve. Always a rare find, especially in such an excellent state. Condition: EX 7 (sleeve - red sticker on the upper-left verso.)/GM-MT 10 (disc). More Information:
Opening in the mid-1980s in San Diego and shutting its doors in the 1990s, the original BeatHaven Records specialized in rare Beat, Garage, Psychedelic, and Progressive Rock records from the 1960's and 1970's from around the world. Their collection included especially rare treasures that would have been tough - if not nearly impossible - to find elsewhere. Heavily involved with mail order, BeatHaven sold to a network of collectors the world over and helped standardize the prices realized by extremely obscure records today. With such worldwide correspondence, BeatHaven didn't merely bring collectors rare pressings of established acts from the United States and the UK, but uncovered hordes of rarities found all across the globe. They served to educate people that the music scenes found in the US and UK existed all over the world. Through their international research and outreach they helped discover numerous bands whose existence were virtually unknown outside their own countries at the time by even the most knowledgeable collectors of the day. From Peruvian Psych Rock, to South African Prog and beyond, BeatHaven had it all! Here is Part Two of the Original BeatHaven Archive, offered for auction for the very first time anywhere.
