Bob Dylan 1963 Radio Show Disc, "The World of Folk Music" with Oscar Brand A rare 1963 radio station 12-inch vinyl LP made in very small quantities for a program called The World of Folk Music, Starring Oscar Brand. In the 15-minute show, the newly scrubbed Dylan chats with the host and performs studio-quality (but unreleased at the time) versions of "Girl from the North Country" and "Only a Hobo." Interestingly, Dylan introduces the first song by saying, "Thank you Oscar. This one's called 'North Country Girl,' and it's dedicated to all the north country girls," shortening the song title either spontaneously or carelessly.

The radio show dates from May 1963, the same month that the final Freewheelin' Bob Dylan album was released, and was recorded at WNBC studios in New York City. Side two contains a similar program with The New Christy Minstrels. This rare promo-only LP was issued to radio stations in a plain white generic sleeve. Grades to EX 7 condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.
